Imali Ye Mwana (the children's money) is a child rights budget advocacy network in the SADC region. The Network advocates for effective and efficient allocation and utilization of resources in state budgets to advance the rights of the child in SADC countries through coalition building, capacity building and research.

Imali Ye Mwana works towards ensuring these rights for children:
"Every child has the right -
(1) (c) to basic nutrition, shelter, basic health care services and social services;
(d) to be protected from maltreatment, neglect, abuse or degradation;
(3) In this section child means a person under the age of 18 years"
The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa 1996; Section 28
"Everyone has the right to have access to -
(1) health care services&
(a) social security, including, if they are unable to support themselves and their dependants, appropriate social assistance
(2) The state must take reasonable legislative and other measures, within its available resources, to achieve the progressive realisation of each of these rights."
