service delivery

Citizens are more likely to access local government than any other level of government. The capacity of local government to deliver services has an immediate impact on citizens' lives and livelihoods, and their perception of how a democratic government is working.

Local governments need to prioritise effective service delivery to improve services such as health, water and sanitation, electricity, refuse removal, roads and infrastructure, sewage, street lights, and recreational parks.
